Week in Sedona

Monday April 2
Dillon, Harrison and I had an easy flight into Phoenix. On our way to Sedona we visited Montezuma's Castle, a 1,001 year old Indian settlement built into the cliffs. It was a little spooky. According to Harrison, we found some extremely weird bugs, like a combination of beetle and spiders.

We arrived at the Enchantment resort around 5:00 pm. It is a nice resort, understated elegance, lots of children. It is nestled against an amazing canyon on sacred Indian grounds. Here is where the Hopi or some tribe believe the world was started.

Outside our room balcony you can see one amazing view. That outcropping of rock is called La Kachina, or little woman. This picture doesnt do it justice. It is practically looming over our building.

When we arrived they gave us a tour of the grounds on foot and golf cart. The bellman was Native American but according to Dillon (with some disappointment) looked completely normal. They did have some characters roaming around in Western costumes but the kids avoided them.

Our room is cozy. We had
room service for dinner despite my extreme dislike of room service. We then rooted for Ohio State all the way to their demise. We were all asleep by 9pm PST.
